Tamasa Developments

The beginnings of Tamasa Developments came together five years ago, with the focus on building homes primarily in Cotswold Downs Golf Estate in Hillcrest. From here, we spread our expertise to Howick, where we embarked on building homes in St. John's Lifestyle and Retirement Village. For approximately two years, Tamasa Developments has been designing and constructing homes on the estate for everyday people including professionals, families and couples, many of whom are new to the property market.
Expert Team
The company is the brainchild of Leon Trickett, who sought to provide a central location for the entire construction process of residential homes. Five years on, and Tamasa Developments has established a team of professionals, including architects, engineers, surveyors, project managers and associated tradesmen to ensure that only the finest homes are created in accordance to high-quality specifications. In addition, we take care of the financial and administrative aspects of the process.

By providing expertise across the board, we ensure that our clients have just one point of contact, that being Tamasa Developments, thus making the development process effortless for our clients.

Our current development on St. John's Village has seen us venture to a new environment, one in-which urban concepts have been fused with echoes of the past. Built on the concept of agri-urbanism, the estate incorporates residential sites and cottages set amid organic agricultural elements and eco-friendly practices.

On site, we have a resident team of builders and sales executives who are exclusively involved in the residential lifestyle aspect of the estate to ensure that the construction and administration process is as streamlined as possible.

Senior Contracts Manager
With hammer in hand, our Senior Contracts Manager on St. John's Village, Conrad Coetzee began his career in the industry in 1993, specialising in office renovations in Johannesburg. His sheer love and knack for construction opened up opportunities for him in the USA, where he renovated high-end offices in Los Angeles for over two years.

Home beckoned and he returned to South Africa and embarked on a new journey constructing residential homes. He built 62 houses in Queenswood Estate, 48 apartments at Westwood and 9 apartments at Cotswold Downs. He also did furniture installations in internationally renowned estates, including Zimbali and Leopard Creek.

Having ventured globally and throughout South Africa, he then turned his attention to the wider Africa, where he worked in warehouse construction in Angola and as a Procurement Officer in the DRC. It is with this diversity of skills in the construction industry that he has joined Tamasa Developments where he has already built high-end houses for Cotswold Downs, worth R5 - R12 million.
History
Before founder Leon Trickett established Tamasa Developments, he was the owner of a steel business in the Highway area for 30 years. After selling this business, he decided to venture into new grounds as retirement was not an option. This was the start of his residential construction business, with Cotswold Downs being the catalyst.Initially building one home on the estate, the number grew to a total of 20 homes within a time-span of five years. Expanding the expertise within Tamasa Developments, Dave Rees partnered with Leon when it was decided to move into St. John's Village. Dave has attained over 25 years of experience in the commercial and industrial property environment, and together they bring a rich knowledge of construction and real estate which is displayed in the homes they create.
